Introduction to MEES (Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard)

Course Overview

The Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES) sets out a minimum standard of energy performance for rented properties. It applies to all privately rented properties in England and Wales, which are legally required to have an Energy performance Certificate. 

Non-domestic landlords can no longer grant new leases, renewals or extensions to existing leases for buildings with an EPC rating of F or G.

This course will provide an overview of the legislation as well as advice on how to comply and think about future impacts on property portfolios
