Energy Statements for Planning Applications

Many Local Authorities require submission of an energy statement along with planning applications. This report would show how the development will reduce its CO2 emissions or energy demand compared to a standard, such as Building Regulations.

The report involves modelling dwellings and commercial properties against Building Regulations standards. The specifications of the properties are then adjusted to reduce energy consumption and/or CO2 emissions through improved energy efficiency along with renewable energy generation or other low carbon technologies.
Third Stone has provided energy statements for a wide range of clients since they were first introduced via the Merton Rule.

We will work closely with you to satisfy the particular requirements of your development’s local authority planning policy and show that your project will meet their criteria.

If you require details on Planning Energy Statements, please contact Third Stone to find out more.

Our consultant has over 25 years experience in building energy design, 10 years of which was while working for Local Government.
