Daylight Analysis

Daylight analysis of buildings is often a requirement for planning applications. It also contributes towards sustainable design schemes such as BREEAM.
Improved use of natural lighting through more thoughtful use of glazing can also reduce the need for artificial lighting, reducing energy consumption and creating a healthier environment within the building.

Specialised software is used to determine levels of natural lighting in buildings which can inform building design at the design stage and comply with standards such as BREEAM and planning requirements.

Daylight analysis can also be used to help determine a property’s “Right to Light”.
