ENERGY AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS
The aim of our awareness campaigns is to raise awareness of the use of energy and water within your organisation and encourage a reduction in consumption by altering behaviour of staff and other building users.
It is recognised tha savings in excess of 10% can be achieved through improved use of existing buildings without the need for capital investment
Our campaigns can be tailored to your needs but usually take two strands.
Targeting of individual buildings and General staff awareness.
Targeting Buildings
This aims to use historic consumption data for each building to identify the potential for savings and encourage action. A member of staff would be identified as a point of contact for each building. (Energy Champion)
Each building will be presented with an ‘Energy & Water Toolkit’ which would contain information on the use of energy and water within the building as well as advice and further details on how to reduce consumption.
General Staff awareness
This takes the form of an organisation-wide publicity campaign to raise general awareness within staff and other building users of the importance of saving energy and water while more site-specific information will help turn this into action.
Staff Survey
In order to assess the impact of this work it is important to get an indication of current levels of staff awareness.
This would be measured via a staff survey with prize draw which will establish a baseline for current attitudes, set the scene for the campaign and encourage participation from staff.
