DISPLAY ENERGY CERTIFICATES
Over 15 years experience in the Energy Rating and energy management of Public Buildings
As part of the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations, Display Energy Certificates (DECs) are required to be displayed in public buildings with a gross floor area over 1,000 m2.
The Display Energy Certificate contains the Operational Rating of the building via its energy efficiency and CO2 emissions on a scale of A to G. The Operational Rating will indicate how well the building is being managed and operated.
Who can produce a DEC?
Display Energy Certificates and Advisory Reports can only be produced by a qualified and accredited non-domestic energy assessor.
Our assessor is accredited by The Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE). This body will only accredit those engineers who have adequate prior experience, while others will accredit assessors from a broad variety of backgrounds via completion of a short course.
LOW CARBON CONSULTANTS REGISTER
Set up by The Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE) and The Carbon Trust, this register can only be joined by consultants who have undertaken a rigorous examination to prove competence in the requirements of Part L and can advise on both the energy efficient design and operation of non-domestic buildings and ensure compliance with the Energy Performamce of Buildings Regulations.
